The average striper caught in Lake Norfork weighs about 11 pounds. Many exceed 25 pounds, with a lake record of 48 pounds. However, you are not limited to fishing for stripers!
With the White River and the North Fork River just minutes away, you can also fish for rainbow, brown, brook, and cutthroat trout. All-Tackle and Line Class World Record brown, rainbow, brook, and cutthroat trout have been caught in both rivers. In all, you can fish for 21 different sport fish species within 25 minutes of Rocking Chair. Lake Norfork has healthy populations of walleye, largemouth, smallmouth, and Kentucky (spotted) bass. Lake Norfork has hundreds of submerged fish attractors providing habitat to good populations of large crappie. There's even a chance you'll catch the beautiful but rare Ozark bass, or an elusive shadow bass.
